わたしたちは非営利活動で国際交流団体を運営しています。

英語を通じて世界を”見る”、”知る”、そして世界人として自分と日本をアピールできるそんな人材を育てるための教育的国際交流を進めています。

　　国境を越えて行うオンラインでのミーティングでは、直接会うことが難しい

異文化間のペアリングを実現します。

たくさん会う、その人をもっと知りたいとおもうこと、その人を知るということはともだちになること

そんな連鎖は、平和につながると信じています。

Virtual exchange is a learning process where participants use online technology to facilitate sustained collaboration to increase intercultural exchange.

Our meeting has taken place across national boundaries, We believe this process is ideal for bringing together any intercultural exchange where in-person contact is difficult.

TOMODACHI Summit: Another Milestone Achieved!

We are proud to announce that the TOMODACHI Summit was a resounding success since 2023! Tomodachi Summit brought together Japanese and American participants to collaborate on innovative projects, develop their English communication skills, and foster deeper cultural understanding. The energy, creativity, and teamwork displayed by all participants made this year’s event truly memorable.

New Collaboration with Eikei University

In 2024, our organization had the privilege of participating in the Project-Based Learning Exercise IA at Hiroshima Eikei University. Through this collaboration, we received insightful ideas from international students to further enhance the TOMODACHI Summit.

Starting in 2025, we are excited to incorporate these suggestions into our programs. Their fresh perspectives have helped us innovate and evolve, making the TOMODACHI Summit even more impactful.

Our Strength: Flexibility and Inclusion

At our core, we value flexibility and the ability to embrace diverse ideas. By listening to participants, collaborators, and partners, we ensure our programs stay dynamic and relevant. The integration of new ideas into our initiatives exemplifies our commitment to growth and continuous improvement.

2023年からスタートしたともだちサミット。
その2年目となるともだちサミット2024も大成功のうちに幕を閉じました！
今年のサミットでは、日本とアメリカの参加者が協力し、創造的なプロジェクトに取り組みながら、英語でのコミュニケーションスキルを磨き、相互理解を深めました。参加者のエネルギーと創造性、そしてチームワークが光る素晴らしいイベントとなりました。

大学との新たな連携

2024年には、広島県公立叡啓大学が実施する課題解決演習（Project-Based Learning Exercise IA）に参加し、留学生の視点からともだちサミットをさらに成功に導くための貴重なアイデアをいただきました。

これらの新しい視点や提案を2025年のプログラムに取り入れることが決定しました。国際的な視野で考えられたアイデアは、ともだちサミットをさらに進化させる原動力となっています。

私たちの強み：柔軟性と多様性の受容

私たちの団体の強みは、多様なアイデアを柔軟に受け入れ、迅速に実践する行動力にあります。参加者や協力者の声を積極的に取り入れることで、プログラムを常に新鮮で意義あるものに進化させています。

新たなアイデアを取り入れた2025年のともだちサミットは、さらに充実したクロスカルチャー交流と深いつながりを提供する場となる予定です。今後のアップデートをお楽しみに！

Exchange meeting in virtual

We regularly organize gatherings where participants of various age groups come together for events. We provide online platforms for students ranging from middle school to university level, as well as adults who may have been away from language learning but still wish to engage with English or Japanese. This serves as a space for fostering friendships, even for those who are separated by distance, and can be utilized as a platform for nurturing friendships that might develop into relationships where people visit each other's countries, such as through study tours
英語で、様々な年齢層の参加者をイベントごとにあつめて定期交流会を行っています。中学生大学生までの学生にたいしてや、またしばらく遠ざかっていたがやっぱり英語・日本語に触れたい訪れたいというような大人の人々にオンラインの交流の場を提供しております。スタディツアーなどで実際お互いの国を行き来するようなそんな間柄になるような友情を育む活動です。

"We host online lecture series featuring guest speakers from both domestic and international backgrounds. These events cover topics related to international exchange, language learning, and entrepreneurship in the field of cross-culture.
言語学習や国際交流をテーマに多彩なフィールドから講師を招いて講演会をしています。それぞれが歩んできた国際人としての言葉は言語学習者にとって心に響きます。2023年11月にアメリカで日本文化コンサルタントの会社起業している当団体のMotoko Ishiharaがいけばなとその歴史などの講習会をしました。

🎭 Theater Educationでみんなの表情が変わった！
最初はちょっと緊張ぎみの顔だったけど、Theater gameで体を使った挨拶や、言葉を使わずにコミュニケーションをするうちに、どんどん笑顔が広がっていきました✨

心も体もほぐれて、仲間との距離が一気に近くなった瞬間です！

Theater Education brought out the smiles!
At first, everyone looked a little nervous, but as we played theater games — greeting each other with body language, connecting without words — the tension melted away.

Soon the room was filled with laughter, smiles, and a real sense of connection!

🎭 シアターエデュケーション（Theater Education）とは？
シアターエデュケーションは、演劇を通じた教育活動全般を指します。
演劇鑑賞やワークショップ、実際の演技活動などを通じて、以下のような力を育むことを目的としています。

✨ 表現力 – 自分の気持ちや考えを形にする力
✨ 集中力 – 相手や自分の動き・言葉にしっかり向き合う力
✨ 想像力 – 相手の立場や感情を想像して寄り添う力

欧米では、日本の音楽や美術のように、学校教育の一環として演劇の授業が一般的に行われています。

After connecting online since February, we finally met face-to-face today! ✨
“Wow, you’re taller than I expected!”
“You seem even more energetic than on Zoom!”
The conversations flowed, and by the first day, we were already friends!

📍 The Peace Park guide tour was a big success!
Our Hiroshima dialect quiz had everyone laughing and joining in—
we were all saying words like “jakee,” “buchi,” and “kawaee!”

今年のFriendship Campの宿泊施設は、オーシャンフロントの「Uminosu（ウミノス）」！
目の前に広がる瀬戸内海の静かで美しい景色に、心も体も癒されます。
小さな街・江田島にあるこの施設では、地元の人々のあたたかさとホスピタリティを全身で感じられます。
レストランでは腕のいいシェフの料理が味わえ、1階のおしゃれなカフェでは瀬戸内の恵みを活かしたスイーツやドリンクも楽しめます。
そして、なんといってもオーシャンビューのお風呂は最高！
広島とハワイの参加者たちを快く迎え、たくさんのサポートをいただけることに心から感謝しています。

Our 2025 Friendship Camp will be held at Uminosu, a peaceful oceanfront retreat overlooking the Seto Inland Sea.
In the small, welcoming town of Etajima, you’ll feel the warmth and hospitality of the local community.
Enjoy gourmet meals from a skilled chef, treat yourself to local sweets and drinks at the stylish café, and relax in the stunning ocean-view bath.
We are deeply grateful to Uminosu for warmly welcoming our youth from Hiroshima and Hawaii and for all of their incredible support.

2023年にスタートした、英語学習者×日本語学習者による日米交流プロジェクト「ともだちサミット」。
オンライン交流とプレゼン発表を柱に、ことばと文化の壁を越えて友情を育んできました。

そして今年はその集大成として、オンラインに加え、7月25日〜28日、広島で対面キャンプを開催します！
ハワイのNPO法人House for All主催の「Friendship Camp」を全面サポートし、ハワイと広島の中高生たちが直接出会い、共に学び、語り合う特別な4日間です。

キャンプでは、ニューヨークからゲスト講師を招き、シアター教育によるアートワークを実施。
「どう話すか」よりも、「どう伝えるか」。言語を超えたコミュニケーションで、自分を表現する力を育みます。
江田島では地元の皆さんとの盆踊り交流も予定。涙あり、笑顔ありの濃密な時間になること間違いなしです。

このプロジェクトには、経済的事情を抱えるハワイの参加者へのスカラシップ制度、
そして快く宿泊施設を提供してくださった江田島のUminosリゾート＆スパなど、多くのご支援が詰まっています。

私たちは、このプロジェクトを通して「他言語を話すこと」よりも、「非認知能力＝生きる力」を伸ばすことを目指しています。

💬 This Month’s Speaking Theme: “My Name”
Prepare a 1-minute speech in your target language about your name!
You’ll talk to three different friends, so prepare three different versions of your speech.

You can:
🔹 Share a personal story about your name
🔹 Talk about fun trivia related to names
🔹 Let your international friends give you a name that fits your image!

It’s totally up to you! Just have fun with the conversation and enjoy connecting with others! 🎉

「自分の名前」について 1分スピーチを考えてきてください！
交流会では 3回違う友達と話すので、3パターン用意しておくといいですよ！

たとえば…
✨ 名前の由来（漢字の意味や、家族がどうやって決めたか）
✨ ニックネーム（友達や家族からなんて呼ばれてる？お気に入りの呼び方は？）
✨ 別の名前をつけるなら？（海外の友達にぴったりな名前をつけてもらうのもアリ！）

We’re excited to welcome Asuka, a professional actor based in New York!
Through a mix of English and Japanese theater games, she will help break the ice and get everyone comfortable while learning each other’s faces and names!

🔹 Monthly Online Exchange
From now on, participants will gather once a month to connect and communicate. Sometimes, we will split into small groups to enjoy topic-based conversations.

🔹 How We Prepare
Before each session, participants receive topic explanations and discussion points through LINE or other communication tools. This helps everyone prepare in advance!

🔹 Everyone is a Main Character!
No one is just an audience member—everyone plays an active role in this exchange!
With English and Japanese flowing throughout the session, this is a great place to make new friends and enjoy cross-cultural communication! 🚀

Meet Our Tomodachi Summit Supporter from Texas!

Our journey with her began when she was still in high school! She joined one of the very first online exchange programs hosted by みんなのGlobal Classroom, connecting Japanese and American high school students.

I still remember how amazed she was by the Japanese students’ school introduction videos, and in return, she gave an incredible presentation about American culture.

As the exchange sessions continued, she shared her ideas and helped us create meaningful programs where students could truly get to know each other.

Now, she’s a busy university student, but she’s taking time to support us as a team member for the Tomodachi Summit! We’re so grateful for her energy and dedication.

Let’s cheer her on as she helps make this year’s Summit a success!

🌏高校生大学生向け国際交流プログラム参加者募集中！🌏

✨参加メリット✨

• 友だちをつくろう！継続的な交流を通じて、コミュニケーション力を高め、世界中に友達を作れます。
• 実践的な英語の場！日本語学習者と英語で交流しながら、お互いの言語を学び合います。
• 発表の場あり！ 9月のオンライン発表会で、自分たちのプレゼンテーション作品を披露する機会があります。

さらに、「ともだちサミット」の参加者は、7月25日～28日に広島で開催されるFriendship Camp Hiroshimaと連携した交流会にも参加できます！

📋募集要項
1．プログラム概要

• 期間: 2月～6月（月1回、計5回）
• 日時: 毎月第3日曜日午前10:00～11:30（日本時間）
• 使用言語: 主に英語（一部日本語も使用可）
• 活動内容: Canvaを使ってプレゼンテーション作品を作成し、文化と言語を学び合うグループ活動

2．対象者

• 15歳以上の中高生・大学生
• 全てのオンライン交流会にできるだけ参加できる方
• 英検3級以上（または同等）の英語力をお持ちの方
• 積極的に国際交流を楽しめる方
• LINEを利用できる方（安全管理は運営が対応します）
• 未成年の場合、保護者の了承が必要です

3．参加費
5000円（約3か月間の交流費用）

7月、広島の公立大学Eikei大学でのPublic Based Learningの最終報告会に合わせて、ダラスからMotokoが来日しました。久しぶりの再会に、心躍る一日となりました。

The international students from Eikei University, a public university in Hiroshima Prefecture, are working hard to improve the Tomodachi Summit, and their final presentation will be at the end of July.

We look forward to seeing the unique perspectives and models these students will present, focusing on interviews with volunteers involved in the Tomodachi Summit, our organization's goals, and the promotion of English education as a social contribution activity.

As an organization run by former Japanese English teachers and board members of Japanese supplementary schools in the US, we are excited to see the fresh ideas that these students will bring.

広島県立の叡啓大学の学生たちが課題解決演習でともだちサミットに取り組んでくれています。留学生とのセッションはエネルギッシュで視点が面白く、学生たちは私たちの団体に最善のアドバイスや計画を作るためにたくさんの質問を投げかけてくれました。

私たちは、英語をもっと地域社会で必要なものとして根づかせ、教育現場でもともだちサミットを取り組んでもらいたいと考えています。小さな団体が大きな夢を現実にするために、チームとして力を合わせています。

元教員や英語教師、アメリカ日本語補習校の理事などの経験を持つメンバーが立ち上げたみんなのGlobal Classroomは、もっと必要とされる人たちの声に応じて、日本でもできる国際交流型語学支援に取り組んでいきたいと思います。
